In the era of subscription streaming platforms, a legitimate question arises: why pay an extra fee for music at an event?
If you're having a party with friends in a shelter, a Bluetooth and Spotify speaker can be enough. On the other hand, for an evening gathering more than 100 people in a large room, this type of equipment becomes inadequate. A living room speaker or a boom box may produce too loud a sound in one corner and an unpleasant background noise at the other end, thus leading the atmosphere.
With a large room and many guests, sounding requires quality material capable of broadcasting a precise and powerful sound. The aim is not only to increase the volume, but to preserve the clarity and the sound details, as if we were looking at a photo with a magnifying glass. However, Spotify and other platforms broadcast a compressed sound, unable to restore the nuances of the deep basses or the sharpness of the sharps when the sound is amplified to fill a space and encourage guests to dance.
Clubs attract people not only for the atmosphere, but also for their high-end equipment, which allows you to feel the music physically. These sensations are impossible to get with headphones or a basic audio system. However, equipment alone is not enough. The quality of audio files plays a crucial role. A compressed streaming, even broadcast on excellent sound, cannot reproduce the details « Physical » music. Most MP3s also suffer significant losses, particularly in terms of impact and bass accuracy.
Some DJs understand: the oldest have digitized their vinyls in high quality (48 kHz). For my part, I buy my titles on Qobuz in 24 bit FLAC format, 48 kHz, in order to guarantee an optimal sound restitution.
I regularly perform in bars and clubs in Suisse Romande, in version After Work, Bar Cocktail or Club.
A touch of tropical spices from Africa, Brazil and South America usually invites to the set.

Youth parties are always a pleasure, the challenge of a floor with very different ages and tastes, without any prior direction like for a wedding or a corporate evening. I prefer a balance between popular songs of all styles and a tribute to the 80-2000s, revisited with remixes and my own bootlegs.
My House titles, signed by labels such as Electric State and G-Mafia records, are broadcast on various web radios such as Hits1 RTI Radio, Radio 3S, iNext, RedLine Radio. Referenced by many playlists Spotify display +4k monthly listeners.
